Dr. Diana Betancourt is a leading type 2 diabetes researcher, known for her groundbreaking work on the causes of the disease and potential treatments. She holds a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Betancourt’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that drive insulin resistance and beta cell dysfunction, the hallmarks of type 2 diabetes. Her work has led to the identification of novel therapeutic targets, and she has published numerous papers in leading scientific journals.
