Diana Betancourt

Dr Diana Betancourt is a leading type 2 diabetes researcher, known for her groundbreaking work on the causes of the condition and potential treatments. She holds a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr Betancourt’s research looks at the molecular mechanisms behind insulin resistance and beta cell dysfunction, the hallmarks of type 2 diabetes. Her work has led to the identification of new therapeutic targets, and she has published many papers in leading scientific journals.
